Walk for Peace gathering, Virginia & D.C. Feb. 8

Since October 2025, a group of Buddhist monks has been walking across America for the Walk for Peace, a 120-day, 2,300-mile journey from Fort Worth, Texas, to Washington, D.C.

They arrived in Washington, D.C. on February 10, 2026, with their final D.C. event held on February 11, 2026.

According to the group, the walk was created “to raise awareness of peace, loving-kindness, and compassion across America and the world.” Along the way, their message touched communities across the country, bringing tens of thousands of people together in person and inspiring millions more online.

We were honored to help raise funds in support of their journey and to welcome them at Hoa Nghiem Pagoda in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, for a special luncheon and private prayer ceremony as they made their way to Washington, D.C.

Their journey was a beautiful reminder that peace is not just spoken. It is practiced, step by step, with humility, faith, and compassion.
